Number and Letter Buttons
You may use the number and letter buttons for text entry in a text box instead of using the keyboard. Click on the number or letter and it will appear in the text box.
Doctor
When you click on the doctor text box, your doctor list will appear in the list box on the lower left of the screen.
You may enter a doctor in three ways.
1. Click on the doctor name in the doctor list.
2. Type the doctor number in the doctor text box and press enter.
3. Type the doctor name in the doctor text box and press enter.
While the doctor list is active, you may use the letter buttons to move the doctor list to the beginning of the alphabetical listing of doctors that corresponds to the letter that you clicked.
Unbilled
Use the Unbilled button to list all of the unbilled cases for this doctor. If you have a case that is returning from the doctor, you can use this to see if that case is already in the computer.
Patient
Enter the patient name in the patient text box.
Amount
Use the amount text entry box to enter the amount for the charge added to this case.
Charges
You may have twenty charges on each case.
When you click in the charges text box, your list of charges will appear in the list box on the lower left of the screen.
Before you enter a charge, you must enter an amount in the amount text box.
You may enter charges in two ways.
1. Click on the charge in the list box.
2. Enter the charge number in the charge text box and press enter.
While the charge list is active, you may use the letter buttons to move the charge list to the beginning of the alphabetical listing of charges that corresponds to the letter that you clicked.
Your charges will appear in the Charges list box in the upper center of the screen.
Ship By
When you click in the Ship By text box, your list of shipping options will appear in the list box on the lower left of the screen. To choose a shipping option simply click on the shipper for this case.
Remove Charge
To remove a previously added charge, simply click on the charge in the charge list and then click on the Remove Charge button. The highlighted charge will be removed from the case.
Remake
To make a charge a Remake, first click on the charge in the Charge List and then click on the Remake button. At invoice time you will be asked how much to charge this fee.
Discount
To make a charge a Discount, first click on the charge in the Charge List and then click on the Discount button. At invoice time you will be asked how much to discount this charge.
Gold
Enter the letter "Y" in the Gold text box if this case will have gold charges on it.
Shade
Enter the shade for this case in the Shade text box.
Month
Enter the month due for this case in the Month text box.
Day
Enter the day due for this case in the Day text box.
Time Due
Enter the time that this case is due in the Time Due text box.
Special Case
Use this check box to mark a special case. You may search for special cases in Case Search.
Remarks
Enter any remarks that you want to keep with this case in the Remarks text box.
Graphic Restoration Representation
To prepare your Graphic Restoration Representation, first click on the arrow next to the Restoration box. A list of restoration options will appear. Choose a restoration from the list by clicking on it. A color will then appear in the color box. Now simply click on any tooth that you want to have that restoration and the tooth will change.
If you make a mistake, simply click on Normal Tooth from the restoration list and then click on the tooth to change back to a normal tooth.
Schedule/Schedule Manual
The schedule button is used to have the computer automatically schedule your case and print a work ticket. If you wish to schedule the case by yourself, click on the schedule manual button and a screen like the following will appear: This screen will also appear if the automatic scheduler cannot schedule the case.
The dates suggested for scheduling will be marked by a green rectangle. If you want to change them, simply click on the new date for each step. You will notice that the green rectangle will move to the new date. The number in each square shows the amount of units scheduled for that day.
Click on the accept button when the schedule days are correct. The computer will print a work ticket for this case.
You may click on a step and then on the Don't Use This Step button to remove that step from the schedule for this case.
You may print the schedule as shown by clicking on the Print button.
If you wish to exit the scheduler without scheduling, click on the Exit button.
You may scroll to the right to get additional days.
Invoice
Click on the invoice button if you want to invoice this case without scheduling. (See Invoice, Chapter 3.) When you use this option a work ticket will not print.
New
The New button may be used to clear an entry and start over.
View/Scan
Use this button to scan prescriptions or pictures to save with this case. You can save up to nine pictures with each case. When you click on this button, the following form will appear.
Save As
Choose B/W for a black & white or Color for a color picture.
Save Picture
Use this button to save the picture shown.
Scan
Use this button to scan with your scanner. It is recommended that you use B/W and scan prescriptions at 100 DPI in gray scale. This will keep your files from getting to large and taking up too much room on your hard drive. Once your scanner has scanned the prescription, it will appear in the display area on the right of the form. You must save the image by clicking on the Save Picture button.
Zoom To Square Drawn
You may draw a square with your mouse on the image, and then click on this button and the area drawn will enlarge on the display area.
Reload Current Picture
Use this button to reload a picture that has been enlarged.
Delete Current Picture
Use this button to delete the current picture shown. The picture must have been saved before you can delete it.
Use this button to print the current picture shown.
Get Next Picture
You may save up to nine pictures with any case. Use this button to move between the pictures.
Exit
Use the Exit button to exit the View/Scan screen.
